SquaredAway is a SaaS startup focused on streamlining access to legal services. The company's vision is to act as an Intuit-like service for the legal sector. The primary focus of the company at this stage is Veteran Affairs with plans in the near future to start supporting Family Law
As a Software Engineering Intern at SquaredAway, I have had the opportunity to step into a full software development role. While I had previous coding experience with Python, adding TypeScript and React to my skillset was a great addition. Additionally, I learned a lot about fundamentals of operating codebases efficiently, as well as granted me experience in Developer Operations and Orchestration. It greatly added to my experience using git and version control with multiple operational branches and through my mentor, I learned a lot of fundamental computer science knowledge that I lacked from receiving a formal education in other areas of engineering.
